Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience.
Duties
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
Manage cash handling processes, including operating the cash register and processing payments accurately.
Engage with customers to provide recommendations, take orders, and ensure satisfaction with their drinks.
Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during events or busy periods.
Participate in special events such as banquets or themed nights as required.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Immediately greet customers upon entering the restaurant. Take beverage orders from guests and servers. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurants standard drink recipes. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: o Learns the names and personally recognize our members and regulars. o Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the POS system. o Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable). o Wash and sterilize glassware. o Prepare garnishes for drinks for your shift and replenish snacks and beverages for to go cooler. o Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. o Clear and reset tables in bar area. o Present drink and food menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages. o Complete daily opening and closing and side-work accordingly. o Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas. o Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar and bar room. o Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to o restaurant manager. o Re-stock and replenis bar inventory and supplies. QUALIFICATIONS: o Be at least 21 years of age. o Be able to communicate clearly and effectively o Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. o Ability to work well with others. o Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop. o Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours). o Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds. o Must always show up clean, in uniform of the day and presentable. o Must not be wearing excessive jewelry. o Must not be wearing excessive heavy perfume or cologne. o Hair and nails must be clean and presentable, clean and fresh breath. o Must be fluent with the menu specs for food, cocktails, beer and wines.
