Job Summary: Ensure ordering, receiving and distribution of supplies for Hospital while maintaining professional relationships with department, vendors and customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assure inventory of supplies is available to meet the needs of our customers.
Anticipate needs for routine and special order items.
Assist internal customers in “shopping” for necessary services, supplies, and capital equipment needs in most cost effective and efficient ways possible.
Develop a budget and operate department in compliance with budget.
Assist in purchase decisions and coordinate major plans such as furniture and other equipment.

Basic computer knowledge
Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree preferred.
Work Experience – Three to five years experience in materials management with some supervisory, hospital setting preferred.
