Drives continuous improvements in safety for employees/processes, quality signature improvements, lead time/cost reduction, and productivity while meeting customer expectations.
Strong communication skills in a 360-degree environment. Communication to shop, staff, peers, and sr. leadership teams.
Provides leadership to supervisors to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet all operational metrics.
Resolves employee issues using standard model of leadership behavior: setting expectations, coaching, recognition, constructive feedback, and escalation where appropriate.
Gives reliable and actionable feedback regarding production capability, tooling, and machine procurement/ replacement recommendations.
Responsible for planning, managing, and reaching yearly improvement goals within the operation.
Must become an expert on how the ERP system supports all key business processes.
Analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly goals against the unit’s plans and organizations goals. (Ex. Operation Efficiencies, on time starts, Capacity Constraints).
Reports operational metrics to senior management, providing tactical and strategic plans to ensure the organizations goals will be meet.
Works closely with engineering, quality, sales, procurement and participates in cross functional projects.
Must be an agent of change that drives continuous improvement by involving subordinates in problem solving and decision making.
Responsible for project management of non-engineering initiatives for the business unit.
Will be a strong contributor to the strategic planning of the organization.
Responsible for training and mentoring staff; motivating them all for effective performance for the general growth of the company.
Develop and communicate the expectation levels and vision of the company to members of unit. This must of course be relevant to the company’s corporate vision and goals.

Knowledge and Training:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management or other Technical four-year degree from a college or university; and minimum five years related supervisory experience, or equivalent industry experience.
