Ability to inspect equipment for defects such as wear, misalignment, & insufficient lubrication
Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment
Ability to dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate mechanical equipment
Assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts as required
Operate tools such as power tools, hand tools, welders, etc.
Perform approved electric and gas welding as required
Troubleshoot issues with timers, relays, motor starters, and other electrical issues
Working knowledge of pneumatics
Perform all miscellaneous mechanical work required to maintain plant
Knowledge of Lock out-tag out procedures
Troubleshoot up to 480VAC – 3PH
Qualifications
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and MHE
Ability to handle complex repairs with minimal supervision, with an ability to train others
Three years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician
Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal
Work well with others at multiple levels
Some PLC experience a plus
Ability to work a reasonable amount of overtime on short notice
Ability to participate in on-call rotation for weekend and after-hours emergencies
Education H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Vocational / Trade School Certification(s) a plus Preferred Education AS Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience Schedule :
