Long Term Care Facility is seeking a Maintenance Assistant
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of the building's interior and exterior. They are also responsible for the development, execution, and follow-through of the residential work order system.
Maintenance Assistant Key duties/responsibilities:

Perform repairs and maintenance as needed or requested by residents, housekeeping, and/or management.
Such duties may consist of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs, etc.
Must be able to do repairs on all non-mechanical issues; repair tile floors, caulking, painting, drywall, minor spackle work, door, door lock, etc.
Knowledge of minor electrical and plumbing is a plus.
Know emergency procedures and where all emergency shut-offs are located.
Must be able to work nights and weekends if necessary
Will train on additional duties

Requirements:

Background of maintenance work
High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.
Ability and experience with operating various pieces of equipment to include: lawn mower, weed eater, blower, edger, pressure washer, chainsaw, etc.
Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of elderly or disabled residents.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
