Lab Technician Assistant

$2,000 SIGN-ON/RETENTION BONUS
FIRST SHIFT ONLY - MONDAY TO THURSDAY 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM AND SOME FRIDAYS 5:00 AM TO 1:00 PM.

JOB DUTIES:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Laboratory Technician to join our team. We are looking for a candidate to assist with processing and maintaining laboratory results in our manufacturing plant. The duties for this position include:

Checking the p H and performing titrations on all process tanks; sampling and performing daily checks on various chemical tanks and process tanks located in our Anodizing and Powder Coat departments.
Ensuring that proper quantities of chemicals, acids, caustic, cleaners, water and/or seal are added to appropriate tanks.
Using laboratory equipment gauges, beakers, and/or measurement tools for chemical testing and processing and ensuring the quality of the extrusions, when needed.
Retrieves and processes all tank samples on an ongoing basis; reviews the results and notifies the Supervisor of any concerns or issues to be addressed.
Performs the applicable data entry tasks and duties needed on a daily basis.
Performs other assigned duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in a chemistry or work experience as laboratory technician position is required – manufacturing or another related field is preferred. Experience in the Extrusion industry is not required, we will train the right candidate.

Must have prior experience in a laboratory environment and have a basic understanding of chemistry.
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, which include: working around chemicals, fumes and strong odors; walking, standing, bending, twisting and lifting up to 30 lbs as needed; and be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Must have basic, computer skills with an understanding of Microsoft Office (I.e. Word, Excel, etc.),
Must be able to work Monday to Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and some Fridays from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Must be able to successfully complete the required, pre-employment drug screen.
