Gas Pump Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a Pump Technician to join our team . The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of pumps, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and develop your skills as a mechanic.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, including motorized and centrifugal pumps, to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters to identify and resolve issues.
- Install new pump systems, as well as upgrade existing ones to meet requirements.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues and implement new technologies.
- Use logic controllers to program and monitor pump systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic, with a focus on pump systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial mechanics and the principles of pump operation.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require frequent standing, bending, and lifting.
- Experience with militarized pump systems is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
This stable company is willing to train a qualified candidate that has a background in mechanical and electrical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
