The Buttered Tin St Paul is looking for a front of house manager to join our team. We are a busy, full-service restaurant and bakery open from 7am to 3pm, 7 days a week serving breakfast/brunch, lunch, bakery, specialty coffee drinks, and beer & wine. Applicants should have at least 1 year of restaurant management experience in a fast paced breakfast environment and excellent customer service skills. Communication, a positive attitude and the ability to handle time sensitive situations with grace is a must. We are a no tipping restaurant and believe in an equitable pay structure for all of our employees.
This is a full-time position requiring about 40-45 hours per week. Duties will include but are not limited to: Scheduling according to labor forecasts. Ordering paper goods, coffee, and beer & wine within a given budget. Hiring, training, counseling and growing front of house team members. Participating in weekly manager meetings. This is a working manager position. Meaning the FOH manager will work closely with all FOH staff on a daily basis to ensure that the level of customer service and hospitality remains at a consistently high level.
Qualifications
- Staff training and management experience
- Food service management skills
- Strong supervisory background in hospitality
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in kitchen and food management
- Previous experience in team management and interviewing
- Knowledge of POS systems and inventory control
- Barista and bartending experience
