Job Description

Etch Process Technician

Responsibilities

Performs technical tests and experiments for process engineering within R&D FAB
Performs set up of processing equipment.
Monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators.
Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
Collect, Prepare, image, and document the structure and/or composition of nanostructures related to semiconductor devices for Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) imaging and analysis
Sample preparation by hand cleave and micro-cleaver using tweezers
Imaging sample features utilizing SEM
Communicating imaging results to the Engineering staff
Provides technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
Update and maintain Training and certification documents for sample Preparation and Analysis Equipment

Qualifications

Education: BS degree in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering or Associate’s degree with equivalent experience is required.
Skills: Should be organized, with data analysis capabilities and attuned to meeting deadlines.
Experience working in a FAB environment is desired
Experience working with Si View Fab management software preferred
Previous hands-on experience with XSEM and CDSEM preferred
Hitachi SEM experience is greatly preferred
The unrestricted right to work in the USA is required

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job can be quite varied and may operate in an office, lab, and cleanroom setting. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones, and the ability to operate lab and cleanroom equipment is needed. Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Ranges

$23.43 - $28.16

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
