Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our medical team. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation, performance, and recovery of endoscopic procedures under the supervision of a physician. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, medical imaging, and anatomy and physiology. This role requires a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Duties:
- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including positioning, draping, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist physicians and other medical professionals during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to aseptic technique.
- Operate endoscopic equipment, including cameras, scopes, and monitors, to capture high-quality images and video recordings.
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments and review medical histories to identify potential risks and ensure patient safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on endoscopic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document patient information, procedure details, and outcomes in a clear and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, medical imaging, diagnostic evaluation, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, with a minimum of 50 pounds.
