The Sales Representative will be responsible for executing all sales programs, promotions and growth initiatives within their area as directed by the Director of Sales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively creates and works with customer leads to grow product sales regionally/nationally.
Maintains customer orders by phone, email or through regional/national travel.
Display products by using samples or presentations while emphasizing product features and benefits.
Negotiates pricing and supply agreements as directed by management.
Maintains accurate pricing for customer products.
Maintains expense reports, including customer entertainment and travel expenses.
Weekly check-ins with the Director of Sales regarding progress on sales/sales leads.
Ability and willingness to communicate with the rest of the team regularly.
Critical Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services. This includes marketing strategy, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
Knowledge of raw materials, processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
Experience with Monday.com, One Drive and Microsoft Office are preferred.
Minimum Requirements: 2+ years experience in metal building related sales that includes at least one of the following product types: single story, climate/non climate control and conversions.
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Must be able to travel with overnight stay possibly required.
A minimum of a High School diploma required. College degree preferred (B.S. in Business, Marketing, or related field).
Must possess all other qualities critical for managerial success including leadership, motivation, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and determination to sell.
