Position Title: Data Migration Specialist
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Onsite / Hybrid)

Mainframe Consultant with strong experience in Data Migrations is prefered
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist with expertise in IMS Mainframe migration and proficiency in Postgre SQL and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in data migration processes, particularly using CDC (Change Data Capture) with IIDR tools. AWS certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Migration: Lead and execute the migration of databases from IMS Mainframe to Postgre SQL and Oracle environments, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
CDC Implementation: Implement Change Data Capture using IIDR tools to facilitate real-time data synchronization during the migration process.
Database Management: Maintain and optimize database performance in Postgre SQL and Oracle, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, migration processes, and system configurations.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, systems analysts, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
AWS Integration: Utilize AWS services to enhance database performance, scalability, and security, especially during and after migration.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in database management, with a focus on IMS Mainframe, Postgre SQL, and Oracle.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in IMS Mainframe database environments.
Strong experience with Postgre SQL and Oracle databases.
Hands-on experience with CDC using IIDR tools.
Knowledge of AWS services and best practices is highly desirable.
Certifications: AWS certification is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: From $65.00 per hour
