Description:
The Commercial Lending Assistant will support the Vice President of Commercial and Business Services, Commercial Lending Manager, Business Relationship Officers, and Business Loan Officers with duties as assigned. Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative assistance to Commercial & Business Services Management, Business Relationship Officers, and Business Loan Officers as assigned.
Gather information to efficiently process transactions and requests. Verify information and accuracy of loan application and closing documents.
Assist with the preparation of loan approval credit memos for both new and renewal loan requests, including ordering credit reports.
Maintain and apply knowledge of current lending policies, procedures, and regulations. Assist in identifying any policy exceptions and report those to management.
Complete monthly board reports and create formulated excel spreadsheets for reporting. Create Helpdesk tickets for report corrections.
Assist with gathering financial and corporate documents from members for initial credit review. Draft letters and agreements, as needed.
Order construction inspections and coordinate the funding of construction draw requests with members. Work within established criteria to approve draws and maintain construction draw files.
Disburse loan funds, as needed. Prepare cashier’s checks, official loan checks, and initiate wire transfers for loan closings.
Assist Business Loan Officers with past due loans and maturing loans.
Responsible for reviewing exception/tickler reports for Business Loan Officers and assist in clearing items.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:
Must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Must be able to create, manage, and work with various Excel spreadsheets.
Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational and prioritization skills, and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting deadlines.
Must possess effective time management skills and be able to multi-task on a regular basis.
Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience. A background in commercial compliance or prior commercial loan assistance is a plus. Understanding of mortgage loan processes and requirements preferred. Education: Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience in commercial or business lending preferred.
