POSITION OVERVIEW – Bridge Attendant
This assignment is offshore Gulf of Mexico on the Safe Concordia Flotel that is connected to the Blind Faith facility in MC-650. Rotation is out of Galliano, LA heliport.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The main function of the gangway bridge attendant is to assist the project team's security and POB (personnel onboard) coordinators with control of the gangway bridge access between the Flotel and Floating Production Unit (FPU).
- The gangway bridge attendant may also be required to manually move freight, stock, or other materials up to 70 pounds across the gangway bridge to/from the Flotel and FPU.
- The gangway bridge attendant may be required to perform other duties or tasks as directed by the Flotel PIC. Verify all personnel crossing between vessel properly swipe electronic badges.
- Verify all personnel crossing between vessels check in/out on the manual muster boards.
- Close and barricade bridge access whenever the bridge is closed for transfers or in an emergency.
- Stop personnel from transferring across the bridge when POB limits on the FPU have been reached.
- Contact security in the event of any incidents with personnel crossing over.
- Assist in mustering as needed.
- Assist as an offshore focal point for movement of all cargo, marine & aviation activities with the direction of the onboard POB logistical coordinator
- Coordinate cargo movement to and from offshore location communicating with onboard POB logistical personnel.
- Enforce and use tools and systems required to communicate cargo needs/movement on a daily basis.
- Provide Supply vessel Captains, Supply Base, and Aviation counterparts with accurate manifest and applicable paperwork prior to loading materials on vessels and aircraft, to include but not exclusive to MSDS, UIC-28 and Customs paperwork.
- Drive Safe Work Practices applicable to loading cargo onto supply boats.
- Work with deck crews to develop plan and timeline to offload/backload supply vessels.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- HS Diploma or GED minimum required
- 2-3 years of experience required
- Current HUET certification.
- Successful D&A test
- Offshore Fitness for Duty
- Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Team player, safety focused and detail oriented.
