Overview
The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a full-service branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for creating a positive member experience and work environment. The Branch Manager is also responsible for operating the branch in a way that makes the branch successful and compliant. The Branch Manager will have superior knowledge in all TFCU products and services. The Branch Manager will be a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills. Typically, the Branch Manager will have a minimum of 24 months of member services experience and will understand and ensure compliance with all credit union policies as well as state and federal credit union regulations. They will maintain member confidence and protect credit union operations by keeping all member information confidential. The Branch Manager will contribute to the success of the Credit Union through self-motivation and leadership in team efforts
Responsibilities:
Clearly and regularly communicate branch performance, community updates, employee performance, and other branch information by completing various reports in a timely manner, including but not limited to; weekly reports, Manager’s Checklists, Board Reports, and Branch Statistics.
Be an expert in TFCU products and services, how the products and services work and who they best fit.
Cultivate a solutions-based culture within the branch by; setting a superior example, offer members solutions to their needs, regularly engage members in solution-based conversations, etc.
Oversee all personnel functions within the branch:
Coach, lead, and motivate branch employees; promote participation in cross sales of TFCU products and services.
Schedule and document employee one on ones and group meetings regularly to establish and reinforce individual and branch goals.
Complete new hire and termination procedures according policy and regulation
Responsible for employee training including; new hire, knowledge maintenance, quarterly requirements, and other updates and changes in policy, procedure, and regulation.
Responsible for the quality and accuracy of branch transactions and member service performance.
Actively participate in branch planning and successfully execute the branch business development plan including following TFCU’s marketing plan and implementing the FLY program within the community.
Confidently complete front-end lending processes including entering loan applications, quoting payments correctly, communicating with the member about what is needed for the loan officer, collecting loan documents, and closing the loan meeting regulatory standards, and sending completed loan package to the loan department
Learn and maintain expert knowledge on TFCU policy and procedure and have the ability to explain them to employees and members
Responsible for acting as an account expert, able to open, update and maintain all types of accounts, including general, business, trusts, etc.
Responsible for proper opening and closing of the branch, branch security, physical control, dual control, and individual accountability of cash and negotiable instruments.
Perform property evaluations, inspections and assessments
Perform duties of Senior Member Services Representative position as required
Stay current on all personal assigned training and assign training to staff as necessary.
Assist in any member issues that may arise.
Responsible for the branch facility including, supplies, equipment preventative maintenance and communication concerning other facility needs to Administration
Attend and actively participate in various meetings outside of branch meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
