About the Role As a Student Recruitment and Retention Consultant, you will be a key driver of both student acquisition and retention, ensuring potential students are fully supported from first contact through their learning journey. With a comprehensive understanding of our courses and our students’ needs, you’ll engage in meaningful conversations that inspire confidence, set clear expectations, and address any concerns to keep students engaged. Key Responsibilities: Sales, Conversion, and Engagement
Conduct targeted outreach to prospective students via phone, Whats App, and email, using open-ended questions to understand student motivations, concerns, and needs.
Track Recruitment Metrics: Monitor enquiries, applications, admissions data, and manage Learna's student recruitment pipelines to ensure efficient processes and target achievement.
Showcasing Unique Features: Highlights the responsibility of showcasing institutional strengths, such as faculty expertise and industry connections.
Leverage CRM Tools: Use Learna’s proprietary Application Management System, Backbone, to maintain accurate records of interactions with prospective students, including contact details, enquiries, and application outcomes.
Student Financial Guidance: Offer information on payment plans, available bursaries, and financial support options to address cost-related barriers and encourage enrolment.
Support Recruitment Projects: Assist with strategic initiatives and special projects aimed at enhancing recruitment efforts and optimising the enrolment process.
Commit to Professional Development: Participate in internal training sessions and workshops to stay updated on Learna’s programme offerings and improve your skills as a Student Recruitment Advisor.
Key Skills, Behaviours, Competency and Experience Required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a sales, customer engagement, or educational support role with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems, Chat GPT and other sales tools; familiarity with online education platforms is a plus.
Sales and Communication Skills: Proficiency in asking open-ended questions, building rapport, handling objections, and guiding conversations toward positive outcomes.
Closing Skills: Proficiency in guiding prospective students through the enrolment process, addressing objections with tailored solutions, and securing commitments effectively.
Audience Insight: Ability to understand and relate to students’ career stages, motivations, and potential challenges.
Adaptability: Agile in responding to student inquiries, able to think quickly on your feet and shift approaches to keep conversations natural and productive.
Target - Driven Mindset: Highly motivated to achieve and exceed sales targets, while supporting overall student satisfaction and retention goals.
