Job Summary
Steel Detailer
Join our team as a Steel Detailer. You will be responsible for providing detailed plans, drawings and other documents for the manufacture of steel members. All requirements will be in line with company accreditations – CE Marking & RQSC.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
The job holder must be able to:
· Produce steel drawings & documentation for fabrication in a timely manner
· Assist with information for production planning/scheduling
· Maintaining any current relationships and actively seeking potential new clients
· Assist with tendering process to produce bills of quantities
· Ordering of materials and labour, whilst ensuring the required standards and quality are met as well as ensuring project profitability
· Compile the relevant project literature for site files; including all CE Marking requirements
· Any other ad hoc duties deemed necessary to fulfil the duties of the job
Qualifications & Experience
1. 2 years minimum experience in using Tekla Structures
Skills & Knowledge
1. Be proficient in the production of steel drawings
2. Be proficient in the requirements of CE Marking in line with daily requirements of the role
3. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages to include Outlook, Excel, Word etc.
4. Ability to work on own initiative
5. Effective communication skills to meet the needs of the post in full
6. Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload
DESIRABLE CRITERIA – these criteria are not necessary but would be beneficial to fulfil the duties of the post.
1. Hold a current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to transport on appointment
2. Previous experience in preparing budgets/tenders for clients.
