Play Worker

Jennyswell are looking for a qualified and highly motivated and enthusiastic Playworker to work in our busy out of school service. We provide high quality before and after school care with an emphasis on providing positive and fun play experiences in an exciting and nurturing environment.
The hours would be split between breakfast club sessions (7.30-9) and after school sessions (3-6pm)
Please note this is a term time position with possible extra hours over school holidays for a new Holiday Playscheme operating.
Essential Criteria:

HNC or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Early Education or SCQF Level 7 Qualification (Social Services, Children and Young People)
Ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills. Applicants should have the commitment and enthusiasm to provide a nurturing and creative environment for children to play, relax and socialise.
Desirable Criteria:
Food Hygiene Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Child Protection Training

The successful candidate will be required to have a PVG Enhanced Check and register with SSSC within 6 months of commencing in post.
Other training will be looked at during induction period to suit the right candidate
