Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of painting techniques and materials, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of both solvent and waterbased paints on to joinery items, and the capability to use various hand and power tools effectively. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying finishes to ensure high-quality results.
Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by , sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Mix paints and other materials according to specifications.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Assemble and fabricate components as necessary for painting projects.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in the warehouse or job site.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.

Experience

• Proven experience in painting or a related field is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment operation and maintenance.
• Basic maths skills are required for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities.
• Familiarity with welding is a plus but not essential.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
