Barnardo's has been delivering Children's Centres in Plymouth since 2011 and currently oversees the delivery of 4 clusters of Emerging Family Hubs. As part of this transformation, we are looking to build on our already established workforce of IAPT Practitioners.
Our service has an exciting opportunity to join our team as part of recruit to train trainee (part of NHS England). This role for a 0-5 years IAPT Trainee practitioner, on a one-year fixed term contact, running from December 2024 until December 2025. This is a Post Graduate Diploma, that will equip the post holder to provide interventions based on CYP IAPT core principles and evidence-based approach. These are aimed at parents and their infants who are experiencing common mental health difficulties.

The successful applicant will be employed on a full-time bases with Barnardo's within our IAPT team. The Post Graduate Diploma runs alongside the role with attendance at Exeter university (fully funded).

A driving licence and access to own transport is desirable, however, candidates who don't drive or have access to a car will be considered where they can demonstrate their ability to access all areas of the city as required; mileage expenses are payable and reasonable adjustments can be made where required
