A Housing Support Worker to Work as part of a team, managing a portfolio of properties and tenancies across a designated area, providing an intensive Housing Management Service to a core group of people. Key responsibilities include:
Directly supporting tenants to manage their tenancy, assisting them with housing benefit claims and signposting them to relevant support services and liaising with support services where required.
Conducting initial and regular assessments of the potential or actual service user including any risks, their needs, and requirements in respect of the service, to determine eligibility for the service taking necessary action where required are delivered. ·
Working with the Nacro Housing Management Team to ensure the correct tenancies are issued, sign up new tenancies and ensure the service user understands and accepts tenancy obligations.
Be involved in ordering furniture and goods for the property ·
Work closely with the Asset Management team on ensuring property standards are maintained, repairs are reported in a timely way and ensuring the properties are suitable for letting and safe occupation.
Maximise rent collection and adhere to the arrears management policy and procedure.
Duties may vary from time to time within the broad remit of your role and grade. You are required to undertake any such reasonable and appropriate duties.
