HORTICULTURAL WORKERS – Isle of Wight Site We have vacancies for seasonal Horticultural Workers on our Isle of Wight Site. These positions are available from mid-November through until the end of December 2024. We are a grower of tomato plants and at this time of the year these plants and polythene are removed from the glasshouses, everything is cleaned and prepared ready for the new plant’s arrival. The operation includes repetitive tasks and manual handling, you must be fit enough for this type of work and have a good understanding of manual handling techniques. Experience is not essential although a basic knowledge of Horticulture could be an advantage. We provide on-the-job training. Working in commercial glasshouses
Working Monday to Friday. Monday to Thursday 8 hours per day and Friday 7 hours = 39 hours per week, with some overtime (Some Saturdays will be required)
Basic pay per hour will be subject to the National Living Wage, which is currently £11.44.
Start time will be 07.30
We are on a bus route, but own transport would be an advantage
We require committed, reliable people with a responsible attitude to work
