Key Responsibilities As General Foreman, you’ll oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring project success through strong leadership and technical expertise. Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising multiple sites and managing daily operations
Conducting material take-offs and managing orders
Enforcing site safety protocols and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Supporting Site Supervisors and Gangers with clear guidance and supervision
Maintaining daily diaries, site records, and project documentation
Demonstrating commercial awareness to drive project efficiency and cost control
Setting out work
Attending client meetings and representing the company in a professional manner
Optimising site resource use to meet deadlines and minimise costs
Participating in Operations Meetings and supporting the Tendering Department
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well in a team
Valid driver’s license and CSCS certification
SMSTS and First Aid certifications
Experience in setting out and reading drawings / Bills of Quantities
Proficiency in Microsoft Project is desirable
Excellent communication skills and a commercial mindset
