Salary: £38,080 to £41,028 per year (Grade 6)
Contract: Permanent, working at sites across North Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week

At NY Highways we’re expanding our External Works team, offering an opportunity to join as Ganger, supervising a small team of operatives. You’ll work on a variety of projects across North Yorkshire and the North East, enhancing the essential services we provide.

About the Role
As a ganger at NY Highways you’ll be responsible for leading and directing a team of at least four people, overseeing maintenance and construction projects throughout North Yorkshire.
Your key responsibilities will include ensuring that work is completed to specifications and on schedule, managing supply chain partners, and performing skilled tasks such as installing kerb lines, repairing drainage, and constructing footways. You’ll also handle general maintenance duties, manage traffic, and operate the necessary equipment for various routine and cyclical tasks.
While experience in the following areas is advantageous, we encourage candidates with a diverse range of qualifications to apply:

• Emergency First Aid
• Safe Dig
• Traffic Management TM1 and TM2
