Balmoral Golf Club is located on Lisburn Road, in south Belfast, three miles south of the city centre. It is an 18-hole course with a par of 69. The course was founded in 1914.
The course is comparatively flat in nature and has several intentionally placed trees. It has a putting green practice area and pitching area.
Balmoral Golf Club has had a long association with Fred Daly, the first Irishman to win the Open Championship, in 1947. The club has also had four Ryder Cup representatives.
This position is ideally suited to a bartender (with at least one year of experience) with some food knowledge.
The Club is run to provide our members, guests, and visitors with a quality golfing and hospitality experience, within a friendly, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Main tasks

• Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our members and guests.
• Meet, greet, and serve members and their guests in a polite, friendly, speedy, and professional manner.
• Ideal person will demonstrate and the ability to upsell and anticipate customers and members needs and expectations.
• Change kegs, take in deliveries and restock the bar.
• Serve behind the bar and take beverage orders on the floor when required.
• Ensure efficient and safe delivery of all beverage orders.
• Set up, clear, and promptly clean tables after use.
• Ensure the restaurant and bar areas are clean and always well presented.
• Assist in the set up and preparation and provide service duties for functions as required.

Criteria

• Minimum 1-year full time working or 2 years part time working in a similar environment.
• Experience of working with an EPOS till system with accurate and efficient cash handling skills
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
