Occupational Health is a program within the Environmental Health and Safety. The Occupational Health team is made up of licensed medical staff who provide services to support the health and well-being of Seagate employees supplemented by contracted services as needed.
About the role - you will:
Assist OH Manager to manage medical services and ensure quality of professional services are meeting requirements:
Evaluate and treat injury and illness.
Diagnosis and treatment of minor illness to provide systematic relief and support employees’ ability to remain at work.
Organize required occupational examinations and testing required per OH&S procedures.
Assessment and referral to appropriate -off site hospital for employees with major& emergency or chronic medical condition
Provide case management for occupational injury and illness.
Conduct pre-employment and medical screening, safe job placement and fitness to return to work medical evaluation.
Coordinate with third party provider for medical surveillance testing
Provision of emergency medical care
Conduct nurse and doctor roster planning
Ensure sufficient supply and storage of Medical equipment per requirements
Management of food hygiene related to onsite canteen.
Provide medical professional functions that support business operations professional job category
Apply OH&S policy, procedures, programs, and work instructions to ensure compliance with Seagate and regulatory requirements for OH&S
Conduct workmen compensation case application and follow up
Coordinate and provide employee health-related services and takes initiative of the health educations to support wellness programs. Observes and evaluates employee health status with respect to job tasks and hazards.
Ensure all hazards and incidents are reported and investigated appropriately and suitable controls are implemented.
Actively participate in the planning and execution of emergency response and business continuity procedures
Manage all medical records, including individual employee health records as well as those required for regulatory compliance.
Work with Human Resources and Management to make work adjustments for employees with disabilities.
Have undergone a specialized course of study in the health care of people at work.
Render nursing services responsible for promoting a high degree of physical and mental health in the organization.
Provide backup support in the absence of the OH manager
About you:
Registered nurses certified with current practicing license by the local Ministry of Public Health
Preferable with Occupational Health certification
Computer skills (Microsoft office)
Requires sufficient comprehension of the English language (Oral and written)
Encourage positive attitude towards OH&S
Develop and maintain relevant knowledge of OH&S matters.
Strong interpersonal skills and people skills allowing for the ability to motivate, cooperate and work effectively with others and support the site service level expectation.
Demonstrate proficiency in clinical interventions, including history taking and all aspect of the medical examination as required based on standards of medical practices.
Accountability and service-minded
Able to work under pressure
Your experience includes:
At least 5-8 years experiences working in hospital Accident & Emergency Department or Surgical Unit.
Head nurse experience is strongly preferable.
Having the experience to provide on-site medical service in the factory (Full time or part-time)
Experiences the management system of the following standard:
ISO 45001
RBA
Able to work as a shift nurse.
