JR63683 Sr. Assistant General Counsel – Global Ops
Micron is seeking a Senior Assistant General Counsel, Global Operations to join its Legal Department, located in Taiwan. This role will partner closely with, and provide legal counsel to, Micron’s Global Operations team and our Executives in Taiwan. Micron Taiwan plays a pivotal role in fast-tracking our leading DRAM technology deployment and HBM Manufacturing. Micron’s ongoing investment in its Taiwan operations and facilities enables Micron to leverage the robust semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem in Taiwan and strengthens our global position. Responsibilities & Scope :
- Serve as a trusted business partner to Micron’s Taiwan leadership team and the Global Operations organization, providing strategic and practical legal advice and solutions to Micron’s Real Estate, Construction, Engineering, Front-End Operations, Supply Chain, Environmental Health & Safety, and more.
- Work closely with senior leadership from Micron’s Legal Department to address, and provide timely solutions to, legal issues related to the construction, development, and operation of manufacturing facilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for country and site leadership teams on legal issues that arise across operations.
- Support real estate, facilities, and construction, including, for example, on the closing and execution of strategic projects.
- Support dispute resolutions (e.g., supplier settlements, insurance claims, and trade secret claims), some in partnership with U.S. attorneys, as frequent interaction with the internal local teams is required, translations are necessary, and experience with and knowledge of local practices and processes are critical.
- Support other ad hoc, strategic projects requested by Micron’s Vice President, Global Operations, Legal.
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- 10 + years proven track record in the practice of commercial law at a top law firm and/or public company, with particular experience supporting real estate, construction, manufacturing, and operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, demonstrate tact, and interact well with senior leadership.
- Highly focused with the ability to assess risk, work with limited supervision, and provide timely, strategic, and practical legal advice in a fast-paced, dynamic multifaceted environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work product.
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle and advance multiple projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry and/or a good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and operations.
