Job Overview
As the EHS Program Manager, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining world-class health and safety programs across our various company sites, with a specific focus on our Taiwan offices and the Asia region. Your expertise will ensure strict compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety regulations, foster a culture of safety, and minimize risks to our valued employees, visitors, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Championing Health and Safety:
- Craft and implement robust health and safety policies, procedures, and programs that align with local and international regulations.
- Proactively assess risks through regular audits, ensuring a safe environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors.
Emergency Preparedness Excellence:
- Design and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans, equipping employees with the knowledge and skills needed during critical situations.
- Collaborate with local authorities to ensure seamless emergency coordination and compliance.
Empowering Through Training:
- Deliver engaging health and safety training sessions, from new hire orientations to ongoing education.
- Ignite awareness across the organization through effective communication and interactive workshops.
Investigating and Learning:
- Thoroughly investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents, using findings to drive preventive measures.
- Maintain meticulous records and prepare insightful reports for regulatory bodies.
Environmental Stewardship:
- Ensure unwavering compliance with environmental regulations, covering waste management, pollution control, and sustainability.
- Conduct impact assessments and champion eco-friendly initiatives.
Collaboration and Support:
- Extend expert guidance to other regional sites, offering remote assistance and occasional on-site visits.
- Tailor solutions for Taiwan offices, working closely with local management to address specific needs.
Continuous Improvement Advocacy:
- Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for enhancement, driving a culture of continuous safety evolution.
- Stay ahead by staying informed about established methods, changes in regulations, and current developments in the industry.
Influencing Across Teams:
- Lead or actively participate in health and safety committees, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Integrate safety considerations seamlessly into all aspects of business operations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Relevant certifications
- Class-1 Manager of Occupational Safety and Health Affairs (甲種安全衛生業務主管)
- Fire-fighting Management Personnel (防火管理人)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- Experience in risk assessment, emergency planning, and incident investigation.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees.
- Proficiency in using health and safety management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Travel:
- Willingness to travel to other regional sites as required.
Additional Information
Work Environment:
- Combination of office work, on-site inspections, and remote support.
- Regular interaction with employees, managers, and external individuals involved in the organization.
