Core responsibilities:
- Serve as owner of process control system infrastructure, programming, cybersecurity, and related management of change activity.
- Lead production process automation control upgrade and modification for product/process improvement.
- Create and own long-term control systems vision and related system integration plans, and ensure capital plans properly reflect these plans.
- Lead capital project activity.
- Engage site PSM activities to ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as or work closely with site safety interlock guardian to ensure all Safety Instrumented System requirements are met.
- Works closely with site manufacturing teams and technical engineers to define and execute improvement goals (safety, asset productivity and quality).
Qualifications:
- MS or BS in EE, ME, Ch.E or Automation Control background.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and engineering production process automation control.
- Knowledge of process control requirements, system architecture design, configuration, integration, and implementation of process control strategies using PLC-based control systems and HMI programming
- Experience in specifying, installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting instruments and analyzers.
- Familiarity with Solidworks, Pro-E, Creo2, and Auto CAD
- Strong communication and leadership skills for project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Prior experience with coding, database management, Six Sigma methodology, and Process Safety Management will be considered a plus.
