Vessel Messages Data Controller

We are searching for an experienced Vessel Messages Data Controller at our MSC Geneva facility.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

YOUR IMPACT
We are looking for someone to complete our vessels' messages data controlling team by maintaining Vessels' Messages database as accurate as possible in the shortest possible time window :

• Check and correction of ships' messages data in Vessels Messages database,
  using various reporting tools and manual cross-checks for the whole MSC operated fleet (owned and time-charter vessels).
• Be in constant contact with Captains and Chief Engineerson board to ensure that all required reports are received and in compliance with Communications instructions, steadily reminding them if still missing.
• Insert additional extra information in Vessel Message Manager concerning contractual pre and post reporting , dry-docks, surveys, debunkering, rebunkering, tanktainers load and discharge.
• Handle other MSC departments (Schedules, Planning Portal, Efficiency, Voyage Calculations, Bunker, Chartering, Accounting) various requests on missing fuel prices, wrong fuel quantities or categories, extra calls, dates/times discrepancies, double or missing reporting, end of month specific preparation for efficiency's monthly bunker consumption report as well as our Auditors requests for yearly review.

Required Qualifications:
YOUR BACKGROUND

• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English / French(Italian an asset).
• Good level of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and communications skills, a methodological mindset and a eye for details.
• Able to work in a team, flexible, sharing knowledge, open to changes.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Based in Geneva.
• Full Time.
• Permanent Role.
• EU citizenship or valid Swiss work permit is required.
