This position combines in-depth training and skills development with exposure to various aspects of Lonza’s Global Engineering Unit. The Trainee is responsible for supporting the execution of the GE strategy and the implementation of standardization / harmonization initiatives as well as general support to the group of Asset Design and Management within Global Engineering Functions (GEF). This includes establishing and maintaining strong structures, such as organization, team meeting, decision-making, communication, and documentation flows, in accordance with project management principles, to ensure adherence to project management processes and improve the team efficiency. The assignment of responsibilities and projects depends on current business needs and on the Trainee’s skills and interests Key responsibilities:
Support ongoing GE standardization programs (implementation & tracking)
Support resource planning and management for a globally acting organization
Contribute to the organization of Communities of Good Practice (agendas, meetings minutes, action follow-ups, etc.) for Process/Operation knowledge and best practices sharing, with focus on Biologics and CGT business units across the entire Lonza network
Participate in and support coordination of project-related documents, reports, and presentations
Support the GEF Asset Design and Management Lead Team Members for ad hoc requests
Cooperate closely with peers from the network or other stakeholders in several areas of Process and Project Engineering in a collaborative setting.
Continuously drive better business practices and increased value through measurement and improvement of key performance indicators
Key requirements:
Engineer degree ( M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or equivalent Field of Study Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, Materials Science, project management or related discipline
Technical knowledge in chemical and / or pharmaceutical engineering is a plus
Interdisciplinary knowledge
Experience in share point or web site management
