As the PMO Manager for our R&D division, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the governance, processes, and tools that drive our product development initiatives. You will ensure the seamless application of our development models, compliance protocols, and quality standards across all R&D projects. This role requires a strategic leader who can guide and mentor a team of project and program managers, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of safety, cybersecurity, reliability, and quality.
Your responsibilities
PMO Leadership: Owning and managing the R&D Project Management Office (PMO), including governance, processes, tools, templates, guidelines, and training programs at the same time defining and driving the project management career path within the R&D department
Product Development Governance: Leading the implementation and governance of R&D product development processes, including gate models for technology and product development lifecycles, ensuring consistent application of these processes across all product lines
Safety, Compliance, and Quality Assurance: Overseeing the safety, compliance, cybersecurity, quality, and reliability processes throughout the product development lifecycle.
Ensuring these critical aspects are integrated into the design and implementation phases of product development
Change Management: Leading R&D project management transformation initiatives, working closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective change management
Team Leadership and Development: Leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring R&D project and program managers, both directly and indirectly.
Ensuring successful project execution and delivery, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Cross-Functional Leadership: Managing cross-cutting functions such as safety, compliance, cybersecurity, quality, and reliability, ensuring they are integral to product design and implementation
Your background
Educational Background: University degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or related fields)
Experience: Proven track record in managing small to large technology and product development projects and programs at the same time deep understanding of product development lifecycle models (e.g., waterfall, agile) and experience applying them in R&D environments
Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, influencing, and mentoring abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Communication: Excellent communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Certifications: Project management certification (PMP, IMPA A or B) is highly desirable.
