Metal Scrap Procurement Lead (f/m/d)
What awaits you:
- You maintain and develop contacts with aluminum scrap suppliers
- You ensure the quality and on-time delivery up to inspecting and processing of scrap deliveries at the recycling plant and remelt plants
- You explore new scrap markets to support the recycling content growth
- You analyze global procurement markets and develop new procurement strategies
- You continuously control and optimize internal material flows
- You cooperate closely with metal planning functions, European casthouses, operations including Nachterstedt Recycling Center, as well as other
- support functions (i.e. logistics, quality etc.)
- You are responsible to expedite procurement /open orders and to reduce metal costs
- Travelling within Europe (approximately 40%)
How you convince us:
- You hold a university degree in Business Administration or similar
- You have at least 5 years working experience in the purchasing field
- You have a good understanding of the scrap market, recycling operations, supplier selection and risk assessment
- You are proficient in MS office programs (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Experience in SAP is welcome
- Flexibility and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
- You bring a willingness to travel within Europe
- Business fluent German and English language skills
