For our client, a well-known pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are looking for a Lab Technician - Analytical Chemistry(m/f/d).

As part of the Chemical and Analytical Development (CHAD) organization, you will join the Biocatalysis / Protein Engineering Team to unlock the next breakthroughs in biocatalysis. As a highly motivated analytical lab technician, you will support and expand the development of biocatalytic processes. Our success will have a direct impact on the sustainability of the future productions processes. Tasks & Responsibilities

Sample analysis for a variety of compound classes with a focus on small molecules (oligonucleotides and proteins occasionally) using LC-UV, LC-MS, SFC-UV, SFC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS and Rapid Fire-MS
Interpretation of analytical data, if needed using statistical tools
Documentation of analytical raw data utilizing a specific LIMS system to track samples and related analyses
Development of analytical methods for LC-UV, LC-MS, SFC-UV, SFC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS and Rapid Fire-MS analysis
Maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment
Assistance for the development and execution of assays to support enzyme screenings in high-throughput (HTP) format

Must Haves

Lab technician or BSc/MSc level in analytical chemistry
4+ years of relevant experience
Strong general analytical background and familiarity with standard analytical techniques; experience with small molecule detection using LC-MS and GC-MS preferred
Solid hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and excellent understanding of analytical separation, detection, and measurement concepts
Fluent in English
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational and documentation competence (e.g. record keeping, lab notebook, reports)
