We are looking for a
Junior Commercial Operations Coordinator
to join our Commercial Operations team in Geneva
You will be a member of the dynamic Commercial Operations team involved in the day-to-day commercially proactive planning, implementation and optimization of the commercial contracts. You will apply the operational processes in a solid manner in executing the bulk and non bulk shipments by vessel, barge, rail and trucks from contract conclusion to invoicing.
In our team, you will work closely with external suppliers, customers, cargo inspectors, superintendents, external terminals, logistics planners and many more. Your main internal stakeholders would include sales and supply managers, supply chain planners, contracts team. finance, etc. to ensure high level customer and supplier experience. Our work requires commercial understanding with accuracy and cooperation as well as the desire to develop and renew. Our team is responsible for operations linked mainly to European suppliers and customers as well as supply to our renewable refinery in Rotterdam. We also work in close cooperation with our global team members in Hoofddorp, Espoo, Houston, Singapore, Shanghai and Melbourne.

Day-to-day management of individual cargoes (post trade) execution based on commercial contracts
Timely and accurate data entries in all our systems and internal sheets
Early involvement in deal/offer/contract preparation with internal/external stakeholders
Delivery planning
Commercial optimization of the cargo (optimal volume, logistics and timing). Awareness of cargo value pricing and hedging
Problem solving
Responsible for quality and quantity monitoring including loss control
Maintaining systems and issuing sustainability relating documents and reports
Self-leading way and responsibility of giving operational recommendation (cargo movement, compliance etc.) to trader, sales/supply manager and supply chain
Participation in designated project and process work
Substitution of colleagues
Responsible for operational Month end closing activities
Other possible responsibilities and tasks assigned by the management
Being proactive in collaboration & communication to ensure good customer and supplier interface performance
Primary contact for external and internal counterparties for the contracts they operate
Overall understanding and ownership of the account (customer/supplier) from operations viewpoint
Timely communication with Sales, Supply, Traders and all relevant stakeholders
Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant area, e.g. from business or technology
Ideally 2 years of experience in international commodity business, trading or logistics
Fluent English is a must, both written and oral, other languages is an asset
Have a business and result oriented mindset
Ability to prioritize and handle pressure
Have a flexible, responsible and independent approach to work
Previous knowledge of ERP-systems (SAP knowledge favorable) and ease with Google Apps (knoledge of Google Sheets favorable)
Swiss Citizenship, Swiss valid working permit or EU Citizenship
