Job description The growing awareness of the climate emergency and stakeholders’ increased sensitivity to environmental and social issues have pushed regulators to establish ESG/sustainability reporting standards. The ESG External Reporting team was created to complement the existing Corporate External Reporting organization, and cater to the need for reporting additional financial and non-financial information resulting from the regulations from the European Union and the SEC. From FY24 onwards, ST is reporting under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive from the European Union and is preparing to meet the regulations’ requirements. The candidate will support the ESG External Reporting team in the preparation, collection and review of the ESG data required by the new regulations. This includes the KPIs as per the EU taxonomy reporting, as well as the environmental, social and governance metrics part of the CSRD. The candidate will work closely with various teams within the organization to review the internal processes deriving the ESG data. Responsibilities and tasks would include:
Bring a good understanding of the EU taxonomy, the CSRD and associated ESRS, the SEC climate risk disclosures
Stay up to date to any regulations changes and provided guidance by recognized bodies (e.g. EFRAG)
On a quarterly basis, collect, consolidate, review, analyze, and ensure accuracy of regulated ESG data
Review the documentation of the underlying internal processes, and support the implementation of any improvement points identified
Ensure timely internal and external reporting of ESG regulated data and secure compliance with standards
Build the necessary templates/dashboard for internal reporting to the head of ESG External Reporting
Contribute to the drafting and review of the Sustainability Statements
Be a key contributor to the external audit and annual report processes (IFRS and 20F)
Support in ad-hoc activities related to IT project or external/internal requests (e.g. questionnaires review)
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Master’s degree in accounting/finance/economics or engineering with appetence for numbers and sustainability topics. Specialization in Sustainable Finance would be an asset.
5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, controlling or data analysis (Big 4 as a plus)
Experience with SAP, data analytics tool (e.g. Dataiku, Power Bi or similar) and skilled with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Power Point, TEAMS
Strong analytical skills with great attention to details
Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce timely deliverables
Willingness to work in Accounting/Finance and further develop strong expertise in ESG reporting
Strong understanding of the regulations (CSRD, EU Taxonomy) and good understanding of other relevant frameworks (e.g. GHG Protocol)
Skills capabilities The candidate is very strong at numbers and is able to build accurate and robust data flow within excel or other data analytics tool (e.g. Alteryx, Power Bi). He/She has deep interest in sustainability topics and capacity to build understanding of the semi-conductor specificities. The candidate is a team player bringing rigor and agility, and at ease with complexity.
