Job Description
- Together with the power and gas desks of MET International develop the Wholesale and Origination Strategy for each country for power and gas, and act as the direct liaison and communication channel between the MET International trading and origination teams and the local country wholesale, origination and sales teams
- With cooperation of the gas and power trading desks, create and develop specific WHOLESALE PRODUCTS for specific customer target segments and specific countries by identifying gaps in the market and potential demand from local counterparties for STRUCTURED PRODUCTS such as cross-commodity price products, custom virtual storage and flex products, insurance products through option structures, US or Asian LNG priced gas contracts etc.
- With the origination team of MET International and the local origination teams of each country develop a specific ROLL-OUT STRATEGY to bring the new wholesale products to market, including detailed term sheets of the new structured products to be offered to customers, slide decks explaining the product internally and sales slide decks to help explain and sell the product to local counterparties, and specific and clear customer target segmentation for each product offering (such as wholesale products for local municipalities, products for specific industrial consumers such as metals, ceramics etc,)
- On power business development, act as the direct liaison with the MET International Power Desk and local power teams in EU Sales subsidiaries to create sales strategies and PPA product structures for local roll-out including detailed analysis of local producers and markets, detailed product term sheets and sensitivity and risk analysis together with the power trading team and group market risk functions. Roll-out the PPA products and Renewable Aggregator strategies country by country and ensuring local talent is either trained or recruited to roll-out PPA and Renewable Aggregator Strategies country by country
- Work in collaboration with the Origination and Wholesale Operations team in the Western and Eastern European Divisional teams to build effective control and reporting structures for the new wholesale products including new book structures and book IDs with parameters to control the risk of each new wholesale product rolled out
- Drive and own the roll-out of the structured products in each country by training local origination and sales teams how to promote and sell the product, setting clear sales targets and deadlines for the roll-out and ultimately measuring the success of the product sales and fine-tuning the product portfolio offer
- Collecting direct feedback from the local teams on customer responses to the new product offerings and adapting and changing the product offerings to fit customer and specific country needs
- Create an efficient system for pricing and pricing feedback from customers to constantly review the company`s competitive edge with support and coordination between the group functions
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in the energy sector
- Experience in trading, sales, operations, and risk management of energy markets
- Proven track record in structured trading products development and delivery in liberalized energy markets
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic planning skills. Proficiency in market analysis tools and techniques
- Creative, proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- High level of analytical and organizational skills
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team
