Based in Geneva and part of Derivative Operations, the Regulatory Reporting team consists of 2 persons and is the central hub for the many existing and upcoming regulatory requirements, including in the European gas and power space and other relevant regulatory reporting regimes (physical and financial). The team functions as the link between the regulatory experts in London, the IT teams in Geneva to develop reporting solutions, and the different front office trading desks. As this space is rapidly evolving, there is a need to develop the next level in regulatory reporting control which requires interested, pro-active and results driven individuals! Your role will include the following duties:
Elevate the regulatory reporting space to a pro-active, scalable, where possible automated, fit-for-future platform
Engage on a strategic level with the regulatory experts on regulatory content, interpretations and solutions
Engage with IT on the translation of reporting needs in IT solutions
Create solutions for different reporting regimes, create control processes to ensure compliance
Ensure and take part in daily reporting requirements of REMIT, Mifid and other regulatory regimes
Qualifications
University degree
Keen interest in the different regulatory regimes
At least 4-5 years’ experience in audit, controlling, compliance, regulatory reporting, within a trading company (utilities/trading/banking)
Pro-active, entrepreneurial personality able to independently propose reporting solutions
Able to have content discussions with regulations experts on needs and solutions
Comfortable to engage with IT on best system solutions on reporting
Strong analytical and Excel skills – Python skills are a plus
Able to meet tights deadlines during closing and reporting periods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders
Full English proficiency to communicate in a business context (verbally & in writing)
