Pagero’s expansion continues at an even higher speed and we are now looking for developers to work on our flagship cloud service product Pagero Online. In this role, you will design and develop new services and infrastructure as well as maintain the existing Pagero Online platform which handles millions of transactions across the globe.
We are looking for new team members to join our distributed team which are working fully remote. The team is building services for Pagero Online, selected services include, Analytics for our customers and Monitor functions towards our Smart Business Network. The work will involve both backend and frontend development, so experience in both areas is preferable but not a requirement.

Working at Pagero
We are working in a Microservices architecture with a Dev Ops culture. This means that teams have complete full-stack responsibility for their parts of the architecture, including continuous integration and continuous delivery, which gives each team a lot of freedom with developing their services.
Because of the full-stack responsibility of our teams, experience of working with full-stack development is highly desirable, but there is also room for frontend or backend specialists.
As member of a team, you will have the following responsibilities:

Collaborating closely with all members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to.
System-level design of new applications and features
Taking responsibility for the quality of the code through automated testing, code reviews etc.
Continuous maintenance and improvement of the team’s existing codebase

In addition, we provide a dynamic environment and a lot of opportunities to pursue areas of personal interests, such as Pagero Labs where cross-teams are focusing on new areas, Special Interest Groups (SIG:s) and sponsored conference attendance.

Qualifications

Based in Sweden with legal right to work.
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Previous experience from working in a JVM-based environment

Backend
For backend development, experience with the following technologies is highly preferred:

Scala
- Akka HTTP, Tapir, ZIO
- Slick, Doobie
- sbt
Microservices architecture
Protobuf
Rabbit MQ

Experience with the following technologies is also valued:

REST APIs
Databases / SQL
Experience with JVM languages

Frontend
For frontend development, experience with the following technologies is highly preferred:

HTML / Javascript / CSS
Typescript
React (Redux, React-Query, Hooks)
Vite

Experience with the following technologies is also valued:

Proficiency in other frontend frameworks.
Stencil JS / Web components
Web design
Micro frontends architecture

Tools
Experience with the following tools is highly preferred:

Git
Go CD
Docker

Scope: Full time (6-month probationary period)
