About the Job As a Financial Analyst within the Trelleborg Marine Fenders Europe business, you will play a key role in within the Finance team by partnering with the management team to achieve the strategic objectives and attain financial results. You will be responsible for all financial activities of statutory reporting and requirements for the Swedish legal entity Trelleborg Offshore & Construction AB. Roles & responsibilities:
Responsible for accurate and timely reporting, by assisting in the consolidation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of actuals, budgets, and forecasts for the full set of financials
Manage department reporting calendar, confirming deadlines and process are in place to ensure adherence to corporate deadlines
Manage Latest Estimate process ensuring accurate forecasting of business performance for key decision makers; Close monitoring and early warning when deviations are spotted against estimates
Close collaboration with project management and sales teams arranging weekly meetings to get project updates for the forecast process
Collaborate with Financial Shared Services for various financial tasks providing guidance as required to meet operational needs
Drive revenue recognition process; manage project, inventory and other accounting tasks for the month end closing and relative reporting
Manage variance analysis between actuals and forecasts as well as projects’ profitability
Provide up to date financial information to Regional Director for business performance; prepare reports as necessary; continuously identifying areas of opportunity to support business growth
Manage legal entity’s financial audit to ensure Group instructions and deadlines are met
Analyze the PG’s revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast its short, medium, and long-term cash flow position; evaluate and recommend, funding sources, and other financial instruments that will meet these cash flow needs
Advise PA controller /Regional Director on financial matters and on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the operation of the organization
Provide technical expertise and advice on financial issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities
Prepare the PG’s monthly financial reports/KPIs and present findings and recommendations to the PA controller/Regional Director
Reports may also include regulatory/statutory reports and filings
Ensure that internal control processes of the business are aligned with Group guidelines
Liaise with internal/external consultants (for example tax advisors, accounting firms), if required, to seek advice and support the organization for VAT and other matters.
Your Education / Competences
A bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, accounting or finance
3-5 years’ experience working as a financial controller
Well experienced in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
Excellent command of the English language, with the ability to display a confident approach
Experience working with multinationals
Possess leadership qualities
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Auditing & compliance experience
Proficiency in accounting & salary systems software
