Customer Service Technician

The role:
The Customer Service Technician would handle and inspect demo simulators to ensure optimum operational performance for hardware and software. When receiving a demo system, you would unpack, inspect, possibly replace parts or repair the simulators, along with performing computer upgrades (both hardware & software). Moreover, you would ensure that they work perfectly and that all parts are present, all according to an extensive QC list. Pack them again and coordinate with the logistics team when they are ready to be shipped.


The ideal candidate for this job would be someone willing to learn new skills and embrace challenges, but also has an interest in and experience of hands-on technical work (either professionally or personally). You will work in a customer-facing environment, within the healthcare industry, to ensure customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and manage the demo systems coming in and going out for our industrial partners.
  • Manage system installs, upgrades & retrofits.
  • Maintain demo equipment and parts inventory.
  • Provides timely and accurate documentation on services performed.
  • Strategically promote, educate, and market Surgical Science services to customers.

Qualifications that we are looking for:
  • Previous experience in customer service, minimum 3 years.
  • PC hardware proficiency.
  • Technical field service experience is a plus.
  • Medical background or knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Professional level of English, Swedish is a plus.

Knowledge and skills for the right candidate:
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong and professional relationships.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation, and repair of electronic systems and computers, as well as knowledge of electro/mechanical device repair/replacement.
  • Ability to solve practical and general mechanical technical issues.
