Full Job Description: Our client-a highly renown and luxury 4 * hotel in Ireland is currently recruiting an experienced Leisure Centre Supervisor. The leisure centre is a busy and vibrant gym and pool with local membership and hotel guests. We seek a candidate who wishes to grow their career within a successful hospitality group, who will be as passionate about the members and staff and who is results driven. The Leisure Centre Supervisor will report directly to the Spa & Leisure Manager and the General Manager. This is a hands-on role and requires a customer-focused individual who has excellent attention to detail and enjoys being in a customer-facing role. This role requires shift work and is a 5 over 7-day position. Summary of Responsibilities are: Greeting, receiving, welcoming, and signing in/out of hotel guests & members, Actively promoting & encouraging new members to join in line with performance targets. Conducting fitness training & classes. Handling any enquiries. Overall supervision to ensure the smooth & efficient running of the Leisure area and that the hotel guests & members, comfort, satisfaction, and well-being, are catered for in a friendly, helpful, efficient, and personalized manner always. A key part of the role will be the supervision of the Pool & Plant Rooms & all Health & Safety Checks required daily. MAIN TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To adhere and implement all rules and policies in the property.
Welcome the guest with full attention and a warm smile.
Smooth & efficient day to day running of gym and Pool area.
To ensure that all pool tests are done & recorded as required daily.
To build membership per specified targets
To ensure that opening and Closing procedure are carried out daily per manual.
To promote class’s for both members and non members
Pool/ Leisure cleaning rota to be done & recorded daily per schedule.
Leisure Roster to be completed & approved prior to posting on a weekly basis.
To help organise events and promotions as required.
Stock take & record retail and professional products on a weekly basis
Report any maintenance issues – log in maintenance folder at Reception.
To always maintain a professional manner
Be familiar with sales and promotional activity and upsell at every possible opportunity.
Answer the phone (where appropriate) in a speedy, professional manner with an appropriate greeting. Smile - it can be heard in your voice.
Ensure all cash, change, float and till procedures are carried out in accordance with company policy. You may be held liable for payment in the event of the company suffering financial loss due to monies, short, lost or stolen due to negligence.
Provide Training for any new Leisure Staff
To carry out company's customer relations policy and communicate hotel services to guests & members.
To wear clean, suitable uniform and name badge always.
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and always groomed
To actively participate in any training and personal exercises designed to improve standards and performance levels.
Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner always ensuring guest satisfaction.
Upkeep of the equal opportunities policy to ensure that there is a neutral working environment.
SECURITY, HEALTH & SAFETY
Ensures that your own cash is always secure.
Ensures all discrepancies in own cash are declared to the Spa Manager and Financial Controller
Maintains high confidentiality regarding guest privacy.
Notifies the Spa & Leisure Manager and Executive Housekeeper regarding lost and found objects.
Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct.
To fulfil your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and any revisions or additional legislation made thereto.
To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of you, other employees, guests, and any other persons on the premises.
To keep your work area tidy and safe and report any hazard, accident, loss, or damage to management.
To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of the first aid box.
To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement for your place of work.
To be fully compliant with Pool & Plant Room Manuals & all Health & Safety Checks required daily.
To ensure all chemicals are handled in the correct manner wearing suitable PPE & that they are stored appropriately.
To participate in fire and accident drills as directed by the hotel safety officer.
To inform management immediately if you are personally involved in any accident or incident on the hotel grounds or if you are witness to an accident or incident involving a third party, e.g., colleague, guest or visiting agent.
Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
Supports a safe hotel by applying hotel regulations and adhering to existing laws and regulations

Lifeguard qualificaions
Swim coach qualifications
2 years minimum experience in similar role.
