Job Description
As a 2D Artist for Casual Video Games, you will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality visual elements for our games. You will work closely with our game designers and programmers to bring worlds and characters to life that resonate with our players. We are looking for someone flexible, proactive, and willing to take on different tasks as the studio requires.
Requirements
2D Art Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience creating art for video games, preferably in the casual genre.
Design Tools Proficiency: Mastery of tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design and 2D animation programs, such as Spriter or Dragon Bones.
Flexibility: Readiness to work on different types of tasks within the team, adapting to the changing needs of the project/studio.
Proactivity: Ability to take initiative and propose creative solutions to visual challenges.
Strong Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating experience in creating 2D graphics and animations for video games.
Creativity and Style: Ability to create attractive art that aligns with the visual style of casual games.
Effective Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team and clearly communicate visual ideas.
Valued Skills
Experience in Casual Games: Previous experience creating art for casual games is highly valued.
UI/UX Knowledge: Understanding user interface design and user experience principles.
Advanced Animation: Skill in creating complex animations using advanced animation tools.
Experience with Cocos Creator: Familiarity with integrating graphics and animations into Cocos or similar game engines.
Responsibilities
Graphic Design: Create and develop 2D illustrations, including characters, backgrounds, and game objects.
Visual Conceptualization: Work with the design team to conceptualise our games' visual style and artistic direction.
2D Animation: Create smooth, appealing animations for characters and other game elements.
Artistic Operations: Take on various tasks within the artistic scope as needed by the studio, from minor adjustments to larger-scale tasks.
Resource Optimization: Ensure graphic resources are optimised for smooth performance on different devices.
Creative Collaboration: Participate in team meetings to propose and receive feedback on visual and artistic ideas.
Quality Assurance: Review and adjust visual elements to meet the project’s quality standards.
