Newly created opportunity - join our Global Operations Excellence team - Champion environmental, health and safety across both operational and non-operational functions.
An insight to the role
A solid mix of both strategic involvement & tactical on-the-ground implementation, the role offers variety and opportunity to genuinely utilise your expertise & make a positive difference across our global operations
Be the global champion for the net zero programme and lead the successful implementation of the group environmental strategy & action plan
Develop & implement a group level H&S strategy & framework that reflects local requirements & global company expectations
Oversee & ensure cohesion across multiple projects that contribute to the EH&S plan – group & local level, including complex project budgets with a continual eye to increase efficiencies, reduce cost and improve outcomes
Operate as an extension of our major operational sites (Spain, Slovakia, Thailand, Mexico, Brazil) providing hands on resource support & guidance to local leads & project owners – ensure adherence to global principles
Work closely with other functions such as R&D & Commercial to oversee & guide on product life cycle, sustainable design & end of life improvements
Collaborate with wider teams to closely guide local ISO 14001, 50001 & 45001 certifications to ensure systematic processes & procedures are in place
Champion a people first, continuous improvement culture - Identify & manage risks & opportunities for improvement
Foster a ‘one team’ approach to the EHS programme company wide, whilst enabling & empowering local owners to remain grounded in local structures, cultural nuances & accountabilities.
Data management, risk and reporting – maintain a clear understanding of the EHS regulatory landscape in all major locations and ensure appropriate reporting systems are in place
Work in cohesion with and as a member of the ESG Steering Committee
Drive & manage EHS best practices sharing coming from the sites, within the Datamars Excellence System
Oversight of accident investigation and corrective actions
A high degree of travel will be required to operational sites – approximately 30-50% of the time

Key success factors
As an astute and highly regarded ESH professional, you’ll bring 5-10 years of senior leadership experience in a multinational & manufacturing environment
CSP, CIH or PMP professional designations or equivalent proven proficiency is preferred
Deep knowledge of legislation & HP regulations across multiple provinces, states or countries
Strong knowledge & experience in ISO 140001, 50001 and 450001 standards
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach, with experience in implementing and sustaining EHS policy in different locations, including manufacturing sites with different cultures.
Understanding of ESG environments and environmental reporting and standards, including TCFD, ISSB and SBTI
Deep experience in organisational culture, engagement and change programmes in operational, corporate and commercial environments
Willing to travel worldwide as part of the role.
