The position involves the following key responsibilities: Managing the dispensary:
Managing issues and returns to and from the factory wrt raw materials
Managing the storage of all raw materials
Cycle counts and stock counts of raw materials
Managing rejected raw materials
Managing of short dated expired stock
End of Lots Management
Management control of narcotic raw materials
Balancing of narcotic registers quarterly
Management of sampling requirements
Manage and coordinate all direct reports including all related HR topics.
Check on absenteeism and controls subordinate time keeping.
Control of dispensing receipt and storage of raw materials.
Investigation of variances found in cycle counts.
Responsible to conduct investigations and root cause analysis through Kabitrack
Back up dispenser.
Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures and updating relevant procedures
Compliance to GMP requirements in the above areas
Responsible for good housekeeping in area of responsibility
From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent
B Pharm Tertiary qualification.
Registered Pharmacist with South African Pharmacy Council.
Computer literate
1-2 years would be ideal
Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing GMP Principles Understand quality investigation requirements (risk assessments, deviations, change controls i.e. Kabitrack) Risk evaluation
Interpret and apply production plan
Logbook and documentation compliance
Ability to write, review and update SOPs
