A coach is an individual who leads and instructs a team or group of individuals with the goal of each member developing their talents and skills in a specific domain. A coach’s focus should be on the assessment and development of children’s motor neuron function. Part of being a coach is developing training and lesson plans that work on the development of key skills in young children and create a positive learning environment where the children learn sportsmanship, fundamental skills, teamwork, and responsibility. The position of coach is intended to develop in children a positive image of themselves and their peers and to provide an enjoyable and safe sporting experience for an assigned group of children while they learn individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play. The assigned coach is to formulate a fun environment for children of various age groups, encourage movement and incorporate parent and teacher involvement. The coach is to ensure that all children are accommodated and looked after. - The training process All Tumbling Tigerz Coaches are required to undergo a two step training process. The first step of the training is the practical learning stage where they are taught the programme and how to interact with children during a lesson, along with a number of other skills. All trainees are required to complete a minimum number of hours with a senior coach in order to graduate to the second training process. In the second training process all coaches are required to write a theory test set out by a paediatric physiotherapist. The theory tests are compulsory for every coach (no matter their level) every 3 months. This ensures that all staff are knowledgeable and proficient in multiple aspects of child development and behavior. We expect our coaches to be positive, energetic, and enthusiastic at all times during lessons. Please note successful candidates will be required to submit police clearance and sexual offenders clearance documents not older than 3 months as soon as possible. It is essential to have your own car and cell phone for this position as you will be travelling to multiple schools on a daily basis with our specialized equipment. - Remuneration and working hours Remuneration is calculated on a per-lesson basis based on a provided schedule and experience level payable no later than the end of each month. All applicants start as trainees, after training will be promoted to junior coach and upon performance review, will be promoted to senior coach: Additional income can be generated through hosting birthday parties and private Tigerz lessons. these rates are higher than the standard lessons. Lessons are presented between 08:00 and 14:00 each day of the week excluding school recess and public holidays.
