We are currently looking for a Senior Actuary for our Terms of Trade Team reporting to the Head of Experience Analysis and Terms of Trade in the Life Department.

Your Role:

Update and maintains all Terms of Trade for MRo A
Work with the regional office to determine Terms of Trade
Liaise with retail and group pricing teams and valuations team on assumption setting
Support overall Life Business strategy & risk management
Maintain the highest standard of technical competence & ensuring global and local guidelines are followed
Partner with business to provide valuable insight to influence strategy and long-term decision making
Train and upskill junior team members on Terms of Trade setting

Your profile:

FASSA/equivalent actuarial qualification or nearly qualified Actuary
5+ years’ experience deriving terms of trade and/or doing experience studies
Sound understanding of South African life insurance products and market dynamics
Analytical and statistical skills
Excellent programming skills in actuarial/statistical programming languages
VBA/Excel
SQL Server
R/Python or any relevant software programme
