Job Description Ensure workspaces are disinfected. Ensure that all test samples are received accurately and timeously. Verifying accuracy of client and specimen details. Ensure productivity of specimen samples received from various sites. By ensuring that all urgent samples are given priority. Help with telephonic Queries. Troubleshooting to prevent serious or unacceptable incidents involving specimen samples. Report all malfunctions to the Head of Operations. Ensure that the standard operating procedures and working instructions are maintained and updated. Assist in the various sections with clipping of results and checking that all test requested are performed. Assisting clients and phlebotomists with inquiries pertaining to specimen’s requirements and test turnaround times. Specimen sent to referral lab must be entered in the referral register and the results are followed up. Outstanding test for specimens to be followed up on. Prepare monthly duty rosters and ensure overtime are in line with sample numbers. Sound knowledge of relevant laboratory equipment. Evaluate new techniques in consultation with the laboratory management and pathologist. To participate and assist in laboratory projects. Complying with applicable laws and regulations, and company procedures and policies. · Sorting and distribution of samples according to set standard operation procedures to ensure the correct and prioritized channeling of specimens to various laboratories. · Answering incoming calls; taking messages and re-directing calls as required. · Dealing with email enquiries. · Ensure correct billing information captured onto laboratory information system. · Demographic check on all patient requests. · Add on tests to original request. · Storage of samples with the LIMS Prelink. · Perform outstanding's for all samples. · Ensure Department consumables are adequately stocked. · Complete laboratory assistant data verification checks weekly. · Ensure basic housekeeping in own working area, including suitable cleaning and preparation of equipment according to set standard operating procedures. · Responsible for adhering to Neuberg Global uniform protocols as set standard operating procedures. · Requirements · Grade 12/ Matric · Post qualification (Medical Background) · Computer literate · Data capturing background. · 3 years experiences · Laboratory information systems · The candidate will be required to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as this is a 24-hour facility. · Ability to commute. · Must have own reliable transport Ability to Commute:
