Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Quality Assurance Department at Adam Tas, Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will report to the Extrinsic Quality Manager Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):
Aiding in maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation.
Conducting quality audits.
Assisting with project management.
Performing Food Safety team member duties.
Performing relevant administration.
Achieving product quality.
Successfully achieving agreed business plan initiatives within Quality Control department.
Contributing towards innovation and business improvements.
Complying with service level agreements in order to keep internal customers informed and satisfied.
Active participation in E2 practise implementation
Perform accurate and timeous analysis.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
Previous working experience in a Quality Control environment within the FMCG industry
Working knowledge of/experience in Quality / Food Safety Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14000, 1841, HACCP, BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000).
Competent in administration of a wide variety of office tasks.
Attention to detail and interpretation of data.
Competent in the use of the MS Office package.
Competence in the use of SAP and LIMS will be advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.
Sound problem-solving abilities.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to fill a statutory Marshall role when required, e.g. First Aider, Fire Marshall, SHE rep
Sound interpersonal skills.
Creativity that enhances continuous improvement is a pre-requisite.
Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position.
Beverage processing knowledge
Innovative mindset
Willing to work shifts and be contingency for other roles.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours when required.
Must have reliable transport to and from work.
Qualification required:
Relevant tertiary qualification is required (e.g., in Food Technology / Quality Control / Total Quality Management; etc.)
