Job Vacancy: Motor Claims Recovery Specialist
RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers has an onsite position available for an experienced, detail-orientated and proactive Motor Claims Recovery Specialist at its Head Office in Isando, Johannesburg.
The position is a mid-leadership role reporting to the General Manager - Insurance.1]
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the recovery of motor vehicle claims from liable third parties, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
· Grade 12 (Essential)
· A Certificate or Diploma in Insurance, Claims Management, Paralegal Studies, or Business Administration (Essential)
JOB EXPERIENCE
· At least five (5) years’ experience and a proven track record in motor vehicle claims recoveries or a similar role within the insurance industry (Essential)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Motor Vehicle Claims Recovery Management:
- Identify liable third parties, thoroughly evaluate the circumstances surrounding claims, and negotiate settlements to ensure successful recoveries.
- Liaise with internal business units, as well as external stakeholders i.e. insurance companies, third-party insurers, and attorneys to expedite the recovery process, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all claims, including recovery status and communication details. Regularly prepare reports detailing progress and recovery outcomes.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of motor vehicle claims to assess liability, identify potential recovery opportunities, and pursue recoverable claims in alignment with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Engage in negotiations to achieve fair and efficient settlements while maximising the company's recoveries through effective bargaining strategies.
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by maintaining professionalism, transparency, and efficiency throughout the recovery process.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and resourceful in pursuing recoveries.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
